I am drawn to the ink medium for its fluidity, high-contrast, and risk. I enjoy using ink to explore the form and movement of animals and humans. I feel that the ink represents the precarious quality of life on a level deeper than mere accuracy. My technique, reminiscent of Sumi-style brushwork, blends the boundaries between animals, humans, and the environment they find themselves in.
